CloudStack — SaaS Dashboard Redesign

The Challenge

CloudStack’s analytics dashboard was powerful but overwhelming. Users struggled to find the data they needed, onboarding took too long, and churn was increasing. The product team knew the feature set was strong — but the experience wasn’t matching the value.

Our Approach

We began with a comprehensive UX audit, interviewing 30+ users across different segments to understand their workflows, pain points, and mental models. We mapped out every user journey and identified the critical moments where the experience was falling apart.

The Solution

We redesigned the entire dashboard experience from the ground up:

• Simplified navigation with role-based views that show users only what’s relevant to them
• Smart defaults that pre-configure dashboards based on user type and industry
• Progressive disclosure that reveals complexity gradually instead of all at once
• A comprehensive design system with 200+ components for consistent future development

The Results

The redesigned dashboard launched to overwhelmingly positive feedback. Within the first month, the metrics told a clear story: users were finding value faster, staying longer, and needing less support.

The design system we built continues to accelerate CloudStack’s product development, with new features shipping 3x faster thanks to the reusable component library.
