The Challenge

Curelink aimed to make specialist healthcare accessible to patients in underserved areas through telemedicine. However, their existing platform had poor usability — patients struggled to book appointments, the video consultation experience was unreliable, and doctors found the interface distracting during sessions.

Our Approach

We shadowed 20 telemedicine sessions with both patients and doctors, identifying every moment of friction. We paid special attention to accessibility needs, given that many patients were elderly or had limited technology experience. We also conducted surveys with 500+ patients about their healthcare journey expectations.

The Solution

We redesigned the entire telemedicine journey with patient trust and ease at the center:

  • Simplified booking flow with symptom-based specialist matching and availability calendar
  • Pre-visit checklist that prepares patients and reduces anxiety before their first virtual appointment
  • Distraction-free consultation mode giving doctors a clean interface with patient history at a glance
  • Post-visit care hub with prescriptions, follow-up reminders, and educational resources
  • Accessibility features including large text mode, high contrast, and screen reader optimization

The Results

The redesigned platform transformed Curelink’s metrics and patient outcomes. Appointment bookings tripled as the simplified flow removed barriers, and no-show rates dropped 70% thanks to smart reminders and the pre-visit preparation experience. Patient satisfaction reached 95%, with many citing the platform’s ease of use as a key reason they chose Curelink over competitors.
