The Challenge

Orbitra is pioneering commercial space tourism, but booking a trip to space isn’t like booking a flight. The experience needed to educate, inspire, and reassure — all while handling complex logistics like training schedules, health screenings, and launch windows. The platform had to feel as extraordinary as the journey itself.

Our Approach

We interviewed 30 ultra-high-net-worth individuals about luxury travel expectations and conducted workshops with Orbitra’s operations team to understand every step of the space tourism journey. We studied luxury hospitality brands to benchmark the experiential standard.

The Solution

We designed a booking experience worthy of the final frontier:

  • Immersive mission explorer with 3D orbit visualizations and interactive itinerary timelines
  • Personalized journey builder that customizes the experience based on fitness level and preferences
  • Concierge communication with dedicated agent chat and video briefings built into the platform
  • Training progress tracker that guides passengers through pre-flight preparation milestones
  • Launch countdown dashboard with real-time mission updates and a curated media gallery

The Results

Orbitra’s booking platform generated $12M in pre-launch reservations, with a 95% completion rate for users who started the booking flow. The immersive design became a talking point across 40+ media outlets, and the platform’s Net Promoter Score of 92 validated the luxury-first design approach.
